The message behind Mandela Day is simple – each individual has the ability and the responsibility to change the world for the better (Anonymous).
Nelson Mandela devoted 67 years of his life promoting peace and reconciliation. The day is celebrated annually honoring his legacy. 67 VTC Library patrons, were encouraged by Louise Harmse to write a note of kindness to be pinned on a wall of remembrance.
Two of the library staff also visited the Viljoensdrift Police Station. Cheese and ham buns, tjips and a pen were given to all the Police staff.
We also spent our 67 minutes to clean their store room. It was a lot of FUN!
